Getting a job in general is hard enough. The internet allows anyone in any place in the world to connect with others. Telecommuting started this ability to responsibly do your work from a remote location. The internet however radically changed our options Through the internet we can access mail, send invoices, collaborate on projects long distance just to name a few of the options. The internet has also invited one more thing: crime. Crime is something that we unfortunately accept as a by product for human nature and society. Off line crime seems to result in a faster response time than cybercrime. For the purpose of this article cybercrime is defined as any act of aggression to another person, and property. For instance, the expression injurious and libelous messages of another individual especially when you know in real life you would not be able to get away with. Stealing another's property be it intellectual or their sales. When encountering cybercrime it makes you wonder if the person who does these things online is in reality a predator in real life. It seems that people who carry out these types of crimes believe that they are free from being identified off line and therefore they have a free pass to rampage through the internet injuring people. The dangers that these crimes pose are monumental, it seems that all of the countries are attempting to do things about it. A lot more needs to be done. The internet is used for job hunting, sales and information. These same services are available offline, however everyone knows that the best responses are coming from the internet. What can be done to protect yourself from inviting cybercrime?

Services is a field that many enjoy the benefits but few rarely say thank you. The best way to say thank you to someone for their services is to offer testimonies. Testimonies for the most part are usually said in a positive way, however once in a while someone decides to be rude about the truth. The negative information (in this case )however, would mean that the testimony is a proof that someone is being subjected to harassment, and stalking due to the ignorance of laws. A follow up for getting testimonies will be added in the near future. Case in point: a domain name that was highly search engine optimized in organic search to number one and has stayed there for three almost four years. You may be happy if that happened to you, right? So, I've decided to express my appreciation to myself. I am the former owner of the domain name malkamaxwell.com. The current owner, has absolutely no SEO work to do. The ground work for the site is solid for almost four years in a row for a group of long tail search terms. The current owner may not be happy knowing that I single handedly moved that site to its current position (considering there were some very nasty and targeted remarks toward my family). I on the other hand am thrilled! The negative posts that are on the home page are a great testimony to what my team and I can do. Not long ago, I had someone ask me if I can guarantee my work. With my former domain name malkamaxwell.com still ranking number one with absolutely no content and the utilization of my SEO (i wonder about that??) set in place three years ago.....what better guarantee than that? I on the other hand smile, every time that site out ranks my current site, because I know the fact that the old domain name that is holding someone else site only out ranks my current site (for now) is nothing but a GREAT testimony of my SEO abilities. Thank you current owner of my former domain name for helping promote my current website, malka-maxwell.com; but more than that for giving me such a wonderful testimonial. You should be so lucky one day to earn one too. Come visit us at: consultingsite.malka-maxwell.com if I did for that site, imagine what I can do for you? This was written by Malka Maxwell © 2010 How To Get Ahead With Resumes. Gifts are one of the best tools to use in business. Most times it reflects a marketing edge, and it can open a professional relationship or close the door on one. Corporate gifts are a sensitive subject because if the gifts are used all of the time, however some consideration into the type of gift should be used. The considerations needed to choose a professional gift are: 1.Make the gift appropriate. Gifts given to customers should have two purposes. One purpose is to market your business, and the second purpose is to give something nice away. When you are choosing your giveaway gift make sure it is something that fits both criteria. For instance TD Bank gives away lollipops in their corporate colors. It is something that is nice, yet it reminds you of the company because it is color coded. 2.Make the cost of giving away the product cost efficient. It is nice to give away gorgeous gifts, but remember your budget, and make sure that what you are getting in return is of equal value to you and your business. 3. Keep the recipient in mind. Who are you giving the gift to? Is your portfolio or service visitors people looking for information about you and your services? So a gift that is downloadable such as a booklet, or articles, a sample picture and more may make a nice gift. You determine that. Gift giving can be a fun and when done correctly can improve the image of your business. When doing your on line portfolio giving a gift may be a rewarding tactic. From your on line portfolio you can consider it as another type of business card or marketing item, or as another way to make friends with your visitors and an a remember for them to keep you in mind for future reference. Social networks have been around for ages. What makes the on line social networks so unique is the combination of social and professional goals in one place. A few popular suggestions are to add your picture, detailed information to get more page views. Since social network sites are like anything on the internet, they may be viewable by non-members as well. This article will review what to put into your social network profile to advertise your personal gallery or on line website/portfolio for your job hunt. Easy ways to transform your professional look Tip1. Utilize the member page. When you join a social network page there is a page where you can describe yourself. Mention your on line website or portfolio of your work and add a link on your profile page to that site. This should direct new visitors to your site or portfolio. Tip2: Do a product or service review. Your personal site or portfolio is about your services, product or both. When you do a review of a product or service on a social network you can showcase a service or product that you have. Again, add this on your profile page, or if your blog, and can be done once a month. Tip 3 Use your profile page as a personal website. If you do not have a service or a portfolio that you want to advertise, you can write about what you do in your profile page These tips should be useful in giving you more page views, and hopefully will encourage more people to seek you out for a particular job. On line social networks allow you to connect with other on line users in your particular area of interest. By joining and creating an on line profile you are able to tell others what you are about. Although not a new subject, by now, most people have heard of the connection between the mind and emotions. however, what seems to surprise many is just how closely connected the two are, and how they affect self improvement. Emotions dominate our actions whether we like it or not, even when we don't want them to. For many, the expression of emotions signifies weakness. Often people hold them in, rationalize or simulate emotions. Emotions or feelings will always be felt no matter what you do, therefore the old saying "bricks and stones can break my bones but words won't hurt' is quite untrue. The ability to keep emotions locked away is futile because it holds the rest of your body captive. Trying to replace a negative emotion with a positive doesn't really work. How many of you have lost a pet to either illness, old age, or just good old fashioned lack of care. Did replacing the pet with a new one REALLY make you replace the loss of a pet? You may say of course, or yes...However, you still remember the pets name, and you may call the next pet the same name or use any other of the numerous rituals used to remember the first pet. Now, imagine at your current level of life you have a fight with a loved one. That fight in turn ruins your whole day. You may be able to function during your day as if nothing is wrong, yet others notice that you are "off" a bit. The state of being "off" or ill tempered is a direct result to the fight you had. Imagine if everyday you go through this continuously is there enough money and or prestige in the world to make up for the way you feel? In today's society we have allowed ourselves to be bullies toward others and cruel, untruthful all in the name of "if we treat people well, they will just step on us" mentality. It will be true so long as people hold on to that belief. That belief is what proves you right when someone does ill treat you. You are prepared with your own negativity to get right back. It becomes a war of sorts. Many think there is no time to reflect on our perception of reality, and choose to push down the negative feelings They grow inside you and grow up and out even worse than what you started with. The biggest concern with those of us who ar involved in the quest for self improvement is how to eliminate the negativity completely. Mental health or self improvement is the ability to create a change for the best. Meditation, NLP, Huna, Silva Method, Reikki are just a few of the programs out there that help us get in touch with the feelings that are holding back our ability to change. Once we reach those areas in the deeper part of our mind, and FEEL the pain that we have been holding on to (by not releasing it or even acknowledging it) we will see noticeable change almost immediately. Being completely happy all of the time is close to impossible but you want to reach a point where you can look at your life and count many moments where you experience utter joy. When your reality is too overwhelming you can try this simple exercise to help shift your perception. First find a quiet place (if possible) but at least clear your mind. Tell the wandering thoughts to get out. Second take a deep breath. Third create a safe place to be in. A safe place may be a song, a physical activity, or an imaginary place in your mind. Being in a safe place gives your mind a time to rest from whatever negativity you are thinking. After your mind clears you may be tempted to stay in your safe place all of the time. That is not a good idea, the safe place is a tool to help you shift your negativity by helping you get immersed in a new thought process through a new action. After you leave your space you will have more energy and information to deal with the issues around you. To find out getting in touch with our feelings, search for the above mentioned programs and I am sure there are others to see what closely fits your style. Since computers allow us the ability to seek out information almost instantly, then the cost of mental health upkeep can be relatively low. Having a disability is difficult enough, there are a lot of learning and studying involved to find the best possible way to make your or your child's life comfortable. Many parents of children who have disabilities tend to research a lot and connect to the proper agencies. What if you are an adult, or a person who has lived a life with no disability and face becoming disabled? Where can you go to learn more? The internet is a wonderful research tool for that type of information, however, you may learn about these two resources: I.D.E.A. And the A.D.A. I.D.E. A. is an acronym for Individuals With Disabilities Education Act. This particular Act is pertinent to those individuals who have disabilities between the ages of birth to 21 years of age. The particulars of the Act include the right (afforded by the US Constitution) meaning it is Federal Law, to ensure States provide education services (or Early Intervention) to people who have disabilities in 13 specific disability categories. The two main goals of the Act is to ensure that children who have disabilities are taught life skills thus ensuring their ability to work, further their education, and live an independent life. And two, to make sure that a free education is available and designed to meet the needs of students who have disabilities. This law is specifically for organizations that receive federal money to support their programs. The A.D.A. Is an acronym for the American Disabilities Act. This Act disallows employers to discriminate against an employee or even a potential employee due to disability. This Act is applicable to private sector, State and Municipal jobs. Other areas of interest included in this Act are communications, public transportation, and the United States Congress. In addition to the above mentioned laws there are laws that prohibit against housing discrimination, provide the right to vote, provide the right to all other human rights. Remember these are all applicable if you live independently or within a facility. Ignorance of laws is not an excuse, and by you searching out the proper places to get help you can provide yourself and others who may have a disability with the safety they require. Gaining the knowledge is only part of the equation, seeking out others who may be able to help you is the other part and lastly making the general public aware is the last part of this equation. The United States constitution was created to remind us of the rights we have been given by God, and created laws to make sure no one infringes upon those rights. As citizens of the United States you must be vigilant in seeking out the knowledge to protect your rights so that you may live a better life, but in addition to make sure all citizens continue to be protected regardless of age, race and religion thus creating a tolerant society for all.
